The removal of the Ceitus Barrier from the southern end of the Cape Coral North Spread Canal was illegal, and the negative impacts on the health of Matlacha Pass have been severe. The Barrier needs to be replaced before it is too late for Matlacha Pass. Read more in the articles linked below.
